Becoming Europe. From solidarity to the European integration of the Balkans and Turkey
The European Union, Nobel Peace Prize, measures in the Balkans and in Turkey the strength of his political project. The legacy of the nineties and the challenges of the present. Scholars, journalists, politicians and diplomats will discuss this topic. Closing event of the project "Tell Europe to Europe" supported by the European Commission and by the Autonomous Province of Trento
In 2013, the year of Croatia's entry into the European Union as 28th member state, Osservatorio Balcani e Caucaso (OBC) and ten European partners are committed to disseminate knowledge and stimulate public debate about the Balkans and Turkey in the European public opinion.
During the closing event of the project, internationally renowned experts will discuss the most relevant issues of the EU's enlargement process towards South Eastern Europe: the democratization and stabilization of the Balkans, the complex relationship between the EU and Turkey, and the open issues that the EU, as a political project stabilization and pacification, is faced with its neighbors in a time of deep economic crisis, political and cultural.
